Game of Thrones!

Today I attended a Game of Thrones baby shower!  Yes, all the seating was arranged by the different houses - Tyrell, Lannister, Trygarion, etc.  I wanted to stay with the theme so here is the card I designed for the next heir to the throne (that we know will be a boy)!

Special Order for A Special Birthday

My dear friend, Karen and my best customer (she orders custom made cards every month) asked me to create a card for her son Austin. I procrastinated because I had to think of something just right.  Here's what I came up with - I hope he likes it! 

Another Heart Wreath

Stampin'Up! has the fabric I used to create the background on this wreath on sale for $1.99 in the Clearance Rack.  I covered a Styrofoam base with the material and covered it with unbleached coffee filters found at Trader Joe's.  I added felt flowers and delicate gold leafed leaves.  What do you think? 

Let Love Reign

Happy Valentine's Day, family and friends!  Here's a wreath I did for my house.  It was sitting around half finished and everyone wanted to see it when I completed it.  So here it is!  Finally!  I wanted to make an arrow and couldn't find any dowels in my craft room so I went outside (correction - I directed my husband to go outside) and found a great stick.  Then he helped me carve a hole in the styrafoam base.  He advised me to do that prior to decorating next time!  I hope you enjoy my bit of whimsy. 

Valentine Treat Bag

I am missing my daughter who is off at college.  I sent her a Valentine care package and this was one of the treats.  I took a mini brown bag and stamped it with Whisper White craft ink with the medallion from the "Lovely Romance" stamp set.  Then I trimmed the top with an Edgelet die to make the fancy scallop, punched a hole in the top and added the tag.  The sentiment is also from the "Lovely Romance" stamp set.  The flower is a stamp from the "Petite Petals" stamp set.   It is filled with chocolate kisses - what else? 

Hello Sailor to the Second Power

Here's another variation of the same layout using the "Hello Sailor" stamp set.  I made one as a birthday card and the other as a thank you - you know, 'cause the person figuratively saved my life!

Red, White and Blue Valentine

Here's a new a slightly different Valentine.  I just love the stamp set "Hello Sailor".  Today I am showing you a Valentine take on it.  Tomorrow, I'll post the same layout in different colors with a different theme.  Maybe you'll fall in love with it like I did!

I just love the stamp set "Flowerfull Heart".  I embossed it in white on vellum to create this romantic card.  Kisses!

Valentine Frame of Mind!

I will be posting a Valentine a day until the 14th - maybe two - because once I get started, I can't stop!  Here is a simple, but sweet card!  I merely stamped the words on Designer Series paper and cut around it. 

Cupcake Wonder!

Thanks to my friend, Kathryn for the inspiration on this card.  I totally "CASED" (copy and share everything)  her card and added the black argyle embossed border and the sentiment.  The skirt is made with a cupcake liner folded in quarters.  It is not my usual vintage style but I enjoyed the fresh change. 

Annual Greets and Treats Party

Every year I throw a party to kick off Sale-a-bration season.  During Sale-a-bration (SAB), you can earn a free item with every $50 purchase of Stampin'Up! merchandise.  We made a few make 'n takes, enjoyed desserts and had a raffle where everyone won free merchandise.  Take a look at the fun we had!

Valentine's Day Class

I just love hearts so Valentine's Day is my holiday to go wild!  Anyone who knows me or has been to my house knows that I have hearts scattered all around (as well as a collection of teapots - but that is a topic for another day)!  Here are some cards that we made in a recent class, but remember to check back because I will be uploading more that I created over a recent stamping weekend.  

 

I used the new  Spiral Flower Die (#129379) with my Big Shot to create the pretty flower, designer paper from the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Pack (#132996), the sentiment is from the Love You to The Moon stamp set (#133143), the background texture is provided by the Modern Mosaic embossing folder (#129984). The small heart was cut and embossed at the same time with the Fashionable Hearts Embosslits (#125596).

 

 

This card is created with stamp set I am crazy about!  All the stamps are from the Follow My Heart (#134614) set.  I embossed the Eiffel Tower in black ink and the sentiment on top in Crumb Cake ink.  The True Love was stamped on Basic Black Cardstock with Whisper White Ink.  The key embellishment is stamped in Real Red and punched out with the free Banner punch (#133519).  That punch is one of the many items that can be earned free from the Sale a Bration catalog.  You can choose any item from the free section with every $50 in merchandise spent.  Don't have a catalog?  Check it out on my Stampin'Up! page or let me know and I will mail it to you. 

 

 

This whimsical card is created with the Love You To the Moon set (#133143). I embossed the white background with the Decorative Dots embossing folder(#133520) - another item you can earn free from the Sale a bration catalog!  The striped paper is another design from the Fresh Prints Designer Paper Pack (#132996). Later I added a rhinestone in the tiny heart - sorry I don't have that picture! The tiny heart was also cut and embossed with the Fashionable Hearts Embosslits (#125596). 

This romantic card was made with the Flowerfull Heart stamp set.  I stamped and embossed it in Whisper White on vellum paper.  The mosaic paper is another pattern from the Fresh Prints Designer Paper pack (#132996). The strip of hearts was embossed with the Adorning Accents embossing folder (#125601).  The two hearts above were punched with the Small Heart punch (#117193).

Two Weddings, Two Cards

Happy New Year, Everyone!  This year starts out with 2 weddings this weekend.  Let's hope the snow doesn't put a damper on them.  I used the same stamp set to make both cards with just a little variation.  Let me know which one you like better.
