How Many Artists Does It Take To Make a Card??

In this case - 3!  Not to mention how many hours.  I was lucky to be able to borrow the Cricut Catridge, "Game Time" from my friend Lorena.  She and her sister, Cindy helped me cut out the sticks and sign.  Who knew it would it would be so time consuming! Plus, earlier attempts had us abandoning the idea of punching out all the individual holes in the net of the Lacrosse sticks.  It didn't look as clean that way.  It was Cindy's idea to sponge the net to highlight the holes without punching them out.  I thought cutting the sign  would be easier, but it was just as intricate and time consuming. I hope I don't receive requests for Lacrosse themed cards in quite sometime!
Thanks again to Lori and Cindy!

Wonderful Surprise from Cindy!

I received this awesome surprise in the mail today!  My friend Cindy is so sweet.  She knows I will be working on a baby scrapbook as gift next week at our Scrapbook Weekend (3 full days and nights of scrapbooking and card making -can't wait! ).  She graciously cut out lots of tiny baby onesies for me to use since she had a good baby Cricut catridge.  Cindy is so talented and sent the die cuts inside this adorable card that she designed.  I love it!  Thanks so much, Cindy! PS, if you want to find out more about the weekend, click onto my Stampin'Up!  website and look for my event calendar.

2 Hours???

This card took me 2 hours to create!  Maybe because I watched 5 back episodes on my laptop of a show I just discovered - yes- a guilty pleasure.  Don't judge me - I am watching a show geared to the female demographic of 18 - 35 year olds! I am enjoying "Beauty and the Beast" on the CW.  This is not your Disney version.  LOL!  Here's the promo pic, can you tell why I like this show?

What Do You Think?

Thank God for my friend Karen - she orders cards from me every month. Her orders help me fund my purchases of even more stamping supplies and force me to exercise my creativity. It is like getting an assignment in class! I get a little direction and then go off to produce.  I try not to repeat designs.  Let me know what you think of these birthday cards.

Nothing Like the Last Minute

I am teaching a "Thanks a Lot" card class tomorrow. Participants will make 2 each of 4 different Thank You card designs.  Well here it is at 2:13am, oh yeah - it is already tomorrow - and I just finished the designs! I had planned to finish up this afternoon but I took a trip down memory lane instead.  Friends of mine told me they were going to be in NYC to view the closing show for the "Jump" Regional dance competition.  I "jumped" at the chance to join them!   My daughter danced competitively before college and I loved going to watch her dance.  I really miss those days and the fun times I had with the moms of her teammates.  (We were NOT like those insane Dance Moms from Abby Lee Miller dance center who give real dance moms a bad rep!) So my class will include the bicycle thank you from the other day and these 3.  All the stamps and the Designer Specialty Paper are FREE items that can be earned with each $50 purchase of Stampin'Up! merchandise until March 22.  You can check out other free items in the Sale-a-bration Catalog at the end of my blog.
